Ms. Lisa Akselrad - Director of Business Operations

For the past seven years Lisa Akselrad has been the Director of Business Operations at SPG. She is responsible for all aspects of Space Propulsion Group's finance, human resources, and administrative operations. She has over 20 years of management experience.

Prior to joining SPG in July 2005, Ms. Akselrad was employed at Stanford University for sixteen years, nine of which were as the Department Administrator for Aeronautics and Astronautics. She was also the Human Resources Manager for The Home Depot and successfully managed 150 people.

Ms. Akselrad has been active in volunteer work. She has been a Rotarian for a number of years, teaches English to the Russian emigre population, and has served as a conflict resolution specialist/mediator for the City of Palo Alto.

Lisa has a BA from San Jose State University in Social Science and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA (formerly the College of Notre Dame).
