SPG successfully completes 2nd test campaign at the Butte-Aerotec test facility
BUTTE,MT - In a 3 day test campaign, SPG successfully completed 4 tests of their 10 in., 7500 lbf. thrust Liquid Oxygen/Paraffin based hybrid at the Aerotec test facility in Butte, MT. The test series built on knowledge gained from the previous campaign (March, 2009) regarding efficiency, stability, thermal management and regression rate tailoring in liquid oxygen/paraffin-based hybrids. High efficiency and smooth combustion were demonstrated in all configurations.
SPG will execute their next 10 in. testing campaign in late August or early September 2009.
