"Clean, Safe, Affordable Propulsion Through Innovation"

Mr. Jonathan M. Dyer - Propulsion Engineer

Mr. Dyer holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. He has had a life-long interest in aerospace and hopes to make large contributions to the field.

Prior to joining SPG, he had over 3 years of experience in rocket propulsion analysis, design and testing at two new American aerospace companies and prior to that was active in the amateur experimental rocketry community. Mr. Dyer worked for Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) over the summers of 2004 and 2005 in their Test and Launch Operations division. While there he worked on facilities design, analysis, and build-up, and served as Test Engineer (TE) for three bi-propellant rocket engine test stands. During the summer of 2006 he worked as a propulsion engineer at Blue Origin, LLC where he was responsible for combustion modeling, injector design, test data reduction and analysis, and worked to support testing as a Test Conductor (TCON).

Jonathan takes a keen interest in thermodynamics, dynamics, automatic control, solid-state physics and chemistry. He also a diverse range of of applied interests including precision/cnc machining, electronics, robotics and embedded software.

Mr. Dyer enjoys hiking, mountain biking and playing amateur baseball in his free time.
