Dr. Jose Stevens - Chief Engineer

Dr. Stevens received his Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University in June, 1996. He also received the S. B. degree in Aerospace/Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in June, 1990. He has conducted R&D in space robots to include third degree of freedom; flight trajectory analysis for space shuttle scale models; design for placement of weights for spin-balancing satellites; conception, design and testing of satellite attitude control systems (ACS). He has industry experience (working at LORAL Corporation) directing the development and testing of satellite propulsion components. Dr Stevens has also worked with attitude determination and control systems for satellite applications. For the past 5 years he has been a key member of the SPG team specializing in the areas of processing and structural testing of the paraffin-based hybrid fuels, motor design and testing.
